      Activation

      Manual Activation

      Note: Activation Requires a connection to the internet and computers must also be able to communicate with the website https:\\www.Docstyle.net. An active subscription is required for a successful activation and DocStyle will periodically check the status of a user subscription.

        1. The first time you launch DocStyle Ribbon you will be required to activate the application. Click on Enter License.

        2.  Enter your license information and click Activate.

        3.  Activation may take a minute to complete. When completed a new dialog will display showing that the application is activated.

        4. The DocStyle Ribbon should now be visible.

      Enterprise Activation

      Note: Activation Requires a connection to the internet and computers must also be able to communicate with the website https:\\www.Docstyle.net. An active subscription is required for a successful activation and DocStyle will periodically validate a company’s subscription.

      Enterprise customers can distribute an activation file during installation which the application will automatically use to activate the application without user intervention.

      An activation file can be obtained for this purpose by following the steps above, in manual activation, and then copying the activation file (ActData.enc) from “C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Local\DocStyle LLC\DocStyle Ribbon\License”.

      An activation file can also be provided by emailing support@docstyle.net.

      1. Make sure the DocStyle activation file is located in the same folder as the Setup.exe and DocStyleRibbonSetup.msi file (see below). This allows for the license file to be copied to the installation path during the installation process.

      2. The activation file can also be manually copied into the installation folder, typically “C:\Program Files (x86)\DocStyle LLC\DocStyle Ribbon”, if it was not done during installation.
      3.  The activation file will automatically be copied to the profile directory when Microsoft Word is launched. This will happen for all clients that use the computer.
