How to Configure Defined Terms
Global Defined Terms Formats
A global defined terms format is one that is created by an administrator and distributed to client computers.
Global defined terms formats cannot be deleted in the user interface.
Global defined term formats are saved in the following registry location
HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\DocStyle LLC\DocStyle Ribbon\Defined Terms Formats
Each defined term format is saved a subkey of the top-level defined terms format key.
The image below shows a global defined term formats in the registry.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\DocStyle
LLC\DocStyle Ribbon\Defined Terms
Formats\Global1
Note: The sub key name “Global1” can be any text. The name is not important.
Resetting Defined Terms Formats
The Reset button in the Defined Terms Formats dialog will reset the list to the out of the box defined terms formats. To set your own defaults add global defined terms using the registry. If global defined terms formats are present, then the Reset button will clear all personal defined terms formats and reload the global defined terms formats.
