How to set up a Personal Template
Templates
Templates are Microsoft Word documents that contain a collection of style and numbering information. DocStyle allows templates to be loaded into the application so this formatting data can be used during automation.
Personal Templates
Personal templates can be added through the user interface in DocStyle Settings. Doing this will add a registry entry for each template in
HKCU\Software\DocStyle LLC\DocStyle Ribbon\Templates
This following screen shot shows 3 personal templates in the DocStyle Settings dialog and the corresponding registry keys:
Personal templates are read from the source location and copied to the DocStyle templates folder:
C:\Users\UserName\Appdata\Local\DocStyle LLC\DocStyle Ribbon\Templates
An administrator can also distribute registry keys directly to the computer to add personal templates. DocStyle will recognize these keys and go to the location of the template and copy the entries locally.
Each time DocStyle is run the template will be pulled from the source location and copied to the appdata location.
Personal Templates can be removed and modified through the DocStyle interface.
